2026 Raffle Quilt "Tranquility"

Designed by Wing & a Prayer Designs. Stitched by Kerry Graves.

Traditionally volunteers from the guild create a quilt of unique design to be presented as a raffle quilt. The quilt is displayed  throughout the year where raffle tickets are sold. Proceeds from the Raffle quilt go into the general fund that supports our mission and community outreach programs. The raffle quilt is always a genuine work of art that anyone would feel honored to own.

Tickets will be on sale from now thru December 31, 2026. Drawing will be held at our January 2027 guild meeting.

The Raffle Quilt Spent the weekend of July 10 -12 at Christianson’s Antique Market. The event ran Friday evening through Sunday. We sold over 300 tickets! I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Laurie Cashen and Mary Baumeier for coming out on Saturday and Sunday to help out. We had nice time and met many quilters or people who have friends or family that quilt. Besides selling raffle tickets we gave out information on our Quilt Show in August.

If you have friends or family coming to the Quilt Show remind them to bring CASH. Many of the vendors may take credit cards BUT the Raffle Quilt is CASH ONLY. With the proliferation of “Wallets” and Payment apps many people do NOT carry cash.

The quilt will be traveling to Fidalgo Island Quilters guild on September 14th and will be back to Christianson’s for their Pumpkin Festival September 19th. I also received notice we will once again be at the Country Club Holiday Bazaar on Camano Island on November 21st (thank you Kathleen Stariha).

We have sold 154 raffle tickets to date. The quilt will be displayed at Christianson’s Nursery for their Antique Fair on July 11th and 12th. Come visit and support them. It will also be at the CIQ Picnic August 5th, and the QUILT SHOW August 14-15. I am working on setting dates for Arlington and Mount Vernon Farmers Markets. When quilting guilds in the area begin their usual meetings in September, I will have dates to visit a few Guilds in the fall. Anyone with ideas of where to visit just send me an email and I will check into visiting. Gwen

This month the quilt has visited Stray Threads Quilt Guild in Woodinville. Thank you to Diana Flett for transporting it, and me, to their meeting. The meeting was educational and I learned several techniques for quilting and sewing. I also sold 40 raffle tickets. So a very good evening.

Saturday May 16th the quilt was displayed at Camano Commons' Homestead Market. While the early day rain was a bit of a nuisance to set up in the newly purchased walls for the canopy, they worked great and everything stayed dry. We sold 37 tickets at the event, and had two very generous people that made cash donations of $35 to the guild.

I still need to connect with the person who bought 20 tickets at the person who bought 20 tickets at the April 1st meeting to get a phone number and name.

First, I want to thank Peanut Burke for selling tickets at the meeting while I was away for the April meeting. Forty-five tickets were sold at the meeting!

Tickets will be available for sale at each meeting or event until after our Christmas Luncheon (until December 31st).

Please remember to fill out the stub with your name clearly printed. If it can’t be read, how can you win??? We only need your phone number if it is a text-enabled phone (we need an email address if the phone number is a landline). It would be a shame if you missed the drawing and we couldn’t contact you!

I will be making arrangements to take the quilt to other Guilds in the next few months. IF you also belong to another Guild and would like the quilt to visit, there please let me know where and when the Guild meets so I can get permission to visit.
