Becoming a Member of CIQ

Membership dues are currently $40 annually and a membership runs from the date of joining to the same date one year later. Renewal notices are sent out by email at the end of each year. Members who are 80 years or older may apply for and be granted free lifetime membership.

Membership Benefits

At the first meeting as a new member; you will receive a membership packet which includes our guild pin, your CIQ badge kit, some detailed information on CIQ,  and access to the members-only area of our website. Upon request, access to our Facebook group can be set up as well.

The secure members-only area of our website provides access to:

• CIQ newsletters
• Guild by-laws and guidelines
• Guild events 
• Up-to-date online membership directory 
• Printable membership card

Membership provides access to monthly meetings, “Members Only” website, online directory, monthly newsletter, speakers and workshops, friendship groups, day retreats, summer picnic and our Christmas Luncheon.

The guild also presents a quilt show on alternate years. The next show will be in August 2026.

Membership Requirements

The requirements of each current member are:

• Participation in the CIQ Quilt Show by working a minimum of 4 hours as chairperson, committee member or volunteer. The Quilt Show is a financial resource that enables us to continue to provide the best speakers and activities for our membership, as well as continue to support the many charity projects we have taken on as a guild.
• Contribute at least one comfort quilt per year to support our charity(s).

There are no other specific requirements for volunteering in CIQ, although the organization depends solely on the volunteer efforts of all current and new members to help keep the guild running smoothly.
