 Monthly Speaker: Member Pam Fredericksen – “I made all the blocks, now what?” She will demonstrate assembling a quilt top and how to prepare your quilt for a longarm quilter. Pam has 33 years quilting experience, including handling over 700 quilts (in different capacities) for Camano Island quilters. 

Message from Pam:

I'm intending to make this a participatory program and would like you to come to the February meeting with questions or tips relating to that part of quilt-making that takes place between making blocks and taking the quilt to be quilted. Feel free to bring a quilt of your own to illustrate your problem or your suggestion. I intend to come away from the meeting with some new ideas for my own improvement. And as a retired high school teacher of 34 years, I plan to have a handout to help you take notes and record any new ideas that you would like to try for yourself, so please bring a writing instrument as well

(there are plenty of hymnals in the pews to use for a hard surface to write on or you could bring a clipboard). There will not be a power point presentation, but I will have examples to show and pass around and will encourage you to sit up close.
